Our Vision and Goal
Our goal is to positively impact the lives of 1 million women and girls by 2015
Why Women and Girls…
- Women and girls make up 70% of the world’s poor.
- They perform 66% of the world’s work.
- They produce 50% of the food.
- They earn only 10% of the income and own only 1% of the property.
We believe that if more women gain business, social and economic freedom, the world will become a more equal, ethical and balanced place.
Our 3 goals for 2012 are as follows:
1. To increase our Pro-bono Mentoring Program's impact to over 500,000 women and girls globally.
We will continue to match women in the business and corporate world with aspiring women working in the charity and non-profit sectors to ensure that the wisdom and experience of the former can be shared with the widest possible audience and so create a positive ripple of change that will help women and girls throughout the world and provide a better future for all.
2. To actively campaign for Women and Girls.
We will jointly campaign with selected non-profit organizations that are making a significant difference to women and girls and who are bravely working in areas that are considered by the mainstream as challenging and unglamorous. Examples would be organizations that work to support women in the areas of suicide, war, rape, prostitution and violence.
3. To run our first Global Leaders Event for Women Corporate and Non Profit Leaders.
We aim to initiate a joint project with women from the corporate business world and women from developing countries to develop leadership, entrepreneurial, strategic and sustainability skills for women in both the developing and developed world.
